The Grand International Conference on Basic and Applied Physiology was recently concluded at Hotel Lemon Tree Premier Dwarka, Gujarat on 21 and 22 December 2024.
The very first such International Medical Conference was organized in Saurashtra, at Dwarka in the land of Great lord Shri Krishna who is one of the pillars of Indian culture and the religion.
In which Hon’ble Minister of Forest, Environment, Tourism Mr. Muloobhai Bera was present as the Chief guest.
In the opening ceremony, Dr. Jayendra Singh Jadeja, HOD Sal Medical College, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, HOD , Sikkim Manipal medical College, Gangtok, Dr. Neeta Mehta HOD, BJ Medical College, Dr. R. D Jani Jamnagar, Dr. Yogesh Kacha HOD GMC, Dungarpur, Dr. Radheshyam Trivedi Supt. PDU Medical College, Rajkot, Dr. Sushil Kumar, Dean, Porbandar Medical College etc. were present.
On the first day of this conference, famous scientist Dr. Richard Millis gave a talk on “Quantitative EEG”, an important research on the human brain.
On the second day of the conference On 22nd December: An important speech regarding “ “Intraoperative Neurophysiology monitoring” by Dr. Nishant Sampat was delivered. He is working as a clinical neurophysiologist in SIMS Hospital, Chennai.
Why are so many people dying of heart attacks at a relatively young age recently? A very important speech about its causes and remedies by
Dr. Dhruvkumarsinh Jadeja, a famous cardiologist of Ahmedabad was delivered.
Dr. Kishan Kudoor’s lecture on modern educational methods was delivered.
Out of a total of 32 original research papers presented on both the days, 14 participants were selected for the awards
In the organization of this conference, chairperson Dr. Jayendrasinh Jadeja, (HOD Sal Medical College) vice chairperson Dr. Neeta Mehta, (HOD BJ Medical College), Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sikkim Manipal Univ., Dr. Rajula Tyagi, Sal Medical College, Dr. Simantini Rao, Sal Medical College, Dr. Roshni Suthar, Sal Medical College, Dr. Milap Solanki, Sal Medical College, played important roles.
The entire program was organized by Physiology department, Sal Medical College Ahmedabad as the organizing department.
