Free medical and health check-up camp at Patidar Hall in Bhadaj Village

On April 5, 2024, the Community Medicine department at SAL Institute of Medical Sciences organized a free medical and health check-up camp at Patidar Hall in Bhadaj Village as part of the Family Adoption Program, following NMC guidelines. The event, attended by 110 patients, included doctors from various specialties who provided free check-ups, medicines, and tests. Alongside, 150 first MBBS students participated with full enthusiasm, actively engaging in community outreach and assisting medical professionals. Through community engagement and health education sessions, attendees learned about preventive measures and disease management. This initiative demonstrates the institution’s commitment to accessible healthcare and collaborative efforts to improve community wellness.

On 27 April, 2024 the MBBS students of Sal Institute of Medical Sciences carried out a rapid drive for the search of mosquito breeding places in & around the allotted houses in Bhadaj Village under Family Adoption Program. Moreover, the family members were educated about various mosquito borne diseases and how to prevent their breeding. Along with that garbage disposal practices were noted and people were made aware about hazards associated with improper disposal of garbage. This was an impactful activity for improving the overall health of the community.
